Dead Set Gemini – Music For Spaceships (Download)

If you don’t know about Dead Set Gemini then you haven’t been paying attention to Craic Music properly.

Edinburgh’s Deezy and Antrim’s Jee4ce make the unlikely pair of Geminorian twins, Castor and Pollux, in this light hearted, galactic hip hop romp.

The 10 solid tracks remain fairly unique in their sound, with glossy production and catchy hooks galore. It’s not going to suit hip hop purists tastes, but the party tunes and witty soundclips make it listenable with nice amounts of replay value.

The download includes the first chapter outlined in their ‘Dead Set Gemini‘ comic with some basic but effective artwork also attached. The characters also appear to have been developed with a proper appreciation for sci-fi storylines and that’s enjoyable to hear & read.

The download is highly recommended and with the likes of MTV and BBC Radio 1 taking notice, DSG are gradually gaining a steady momementum of praise.
