Deviant – Leave It At That feat. Sebi C (Video)

Posted in Irish Hip Hop Videos with tags , , , , , on July 15, 2012 by craicmusic

Here’s an official video from the Limerick-based producer Deviant with Sebi C spitting on the track. Taken off Deviant’s “Fragments & Stammerings” EP, the track is delightfully lo-fi and Barry Richardson’s video is a light-hearted but fun watch.

Deviant has been muscially active since 2001, using only turntables, a mixer, loop pedal and multitracker to create some intense scratch music. He’s a founding member of Community Scratch, a non-profit collective dedicated to promoting the arts of turntable manipulation and sample culture.

He should be announcing tour details quite soon and has advised listeners to keep an eye on his SoundCloud page for updates.

Rhymes, beats, skratches and supersonic sounds that will bring civilisation to the brink of destruction…

‘Prophecy’ is an ancient vortex code located beyond the spoke of destiny, an electric terror weaving itself into the fabric of reality..

Warning: Listen at your own risk, the sonic journey may be perilous and strange for those of you with mechanic brains.

All mon-eye from album sales will go towards the mobilisation of the Skratch Bus, which with your support will travel Ireland and Europe doing shows to promote skilled musicians and connect great music with scenic locations.

Watch out for a 6-track follow up EP featuring Ophelia, Costello and DJackulate out soon.
