Nostalgic Future

Posted in Irish Hip Hop Audio with tags , , , , , , on March 31, 2011 by craicmusic

Nostalgic Future is the exciting new project being kept quiet by Lethal Dialect & G.I.
Craic Music has two tracks taken off the following CD and hear the interesting preview of what to expect.

Nostalgic Future – The Business

The project will be entirely different to the LD50 series; Set for a summer release date, Nostalgic Future, in Lethal’s words are “a mashup of trance, dubstep, dance and hip-hop”. The change from hard-hitting, boom bap rap to an electronic style comes as a natural progression to both MC and producer.
Drawing inspiration from their youthful upbringing in Dublin’s rave scene, Lethal & G.I. are embracing their musical influences in a new way as Nostalgic Future.

Nostalgic Future – Rollin’ In The Deep (Remix)

The verses are kept to a minimum on both tracks which is a shame because they are quality rhymers. We’re told to expect more bars and hooks on their other tracks as they mix things up a bit.
It’s a promising sound and Craic Music will keep a close eye on any breaking developments.

For those wondering about LD50 2, it’s scheduled for a Winter release

Brand new radio rip taken from the Mista Jam show. The exclusive first play was aired on Radio 1 as Mista Jam sat in for Zane Lowe.
Maverick Sabre’s ‘Where We Gonna Go’ is produced by Red Light a Bristol based D’n’B producer. Big sounds and should hopefully get decent radio airplay.

If you still haven’t got Maverick Sabre’s Lost Words EP (click here) it’s on iTunes now for £1.99
